Problem Description: You want to move an address book from one computer to another. The computers may or may not be running different email applications.
Solution:
Run Address Magic on the source computer.
Choose your existing address book as your Source to and choose Address Magic Backup (AMI) as your destination. Make sure you note where you save the AMI file.

To transfer your address book from one screen name to another, first use Address Magic Personal Edition or ePreserver to convert your address book from the original screen name to Outlook Express (Windows Address Book.) You must have the AOL client installed to do this.

To copy your address book to an iPod using Address Magic Personal, please follow these steps:

Although Address Magic can read address books from Mozilla and Thunderbird without difficulty, it takes an extra step convert an address book to Thunderbird or Mozilla:
Start Address Magic Personal Edition.

To convert your address book to Microsoft Excel, you first use Address Magic to convert your address book to a Comma Separated Values (CSV) file. Make sure you note the location of where you save the CSV file. To open the file in Excel, start Excel, open the File menu and click Open. In the bottom of the Open window, change "Files of type" to be Text Files. Now browse to where you saved the CSV file and open it.
