FairStars Recorder, by FairStars Soft is a full-featured program for recording audio. In testing it out I recorded audio from a microphone plugged into my PC and also directly from my sound card. The recording quality was very good from both. The program also supports a nice range of audio formats including MP3, WMA, WAV, OGG, APE, and more. If you have a hard time keeping track of things and remembering things you need to do, xReminder Pro, by Duality Software, may be your solution. With xReminder Pro you can enter all of the things that you want and need to remember like birthdays, wedding anniversaries, appointments, doctors visits, payments, and lots more. Job Timer, by Doc Design is a nifty application for anyone who needs to keep track of how much time they spend on a job working on the computer. In working with the program I found it to be intuitive and easy-to-use, perfect for both new and experienced users. I like the fact that it had quite a few configurable options so you can make it work the way you want it to. Clyton, by Gammadyne Corporation, is a really cool email client that I found while I was poking around here on Tucows. Clyton has some impressive features among which is a dedicated SPAM filter. The company claims the program removes 85% of incoming SPAM right out of the proverbial box. In testing it out I can't dispute that because Clyton did a great job. DriveScrubber, by iolo technologies, LLC is a neat utility program that really cleans a hard drive. is the perfect solution for anyone who wants to really clean off a hard drive. Many users don't realize that when you delete a file it isn't actually gone. It's just not visible any longer. A person with the right knowledge and the access could easily retrieve your data. So, while I was going to give the computer away I didn't want to do so with any of my data on it. DriveScrubber goes in and erases files... Read more » |
