IBM Lotus Symphony is a helpful document, spreadsheet, and presentations creating and editing tool which is similar with Microsoft Office. But Office is a chargeable application, Lotus Synphony not .docx file (Open XML) is the new format that Office Suite introduced from 2007 version. Except the Office 2007, you can also open the Open XML file with other programs, Lotus Symphony is one choise.
Guides on how to import Microsoft Office 2007 documents to Lotus Symphoy.
Step 1. Download Lotus Symphony and install this application on your computer, run it now. Press "File"-> Open-> File.

Step 2. Browse your computer, find the Office 2007 Open XML file that you want to load. Press "Open" button, there will be a warning window poping up. It means thatn if you open Office 2007 file with Lotus, it will save the file in different format. Click OK, please.
