Yahoo Messenger 9.0 is easy to install by following its installation wizard. As a lightweight IM, it doesn’t take long to finish the installation process.
Interface
The interface of Yahoo Messenger 9.0 has changed a lot, and the style looks like the interface of MSN - compared with previous versions, this one is clearer and more friendly to experience.
This new version has provided more skinable styles for users to change and the design of these styles should be a bright spot, as the styles are not only in different colors but also with nice background. The choices of these skinable styles are less than my expectation - compared with MSN, it still needs improving.
Smiley Emotion
The new version of it has added more smiley emotions to conveniently display our mood. These brand new emotions are welcomed by us as they are definitely funny, however, the smiley emotions should be larger for the senior to view more clearly.
More IMers Added
Adding an MSN user to Yahoo? Now you can do it by a few clicks to set your MSN friends’ ID. While there are some limitations when you chat with an MSN user, for you cannot share the background and images, smiley emotions either. We hope next version could do it better.
Share Photos
In this version, Flickr account is integrated. We can share our pretty photos or pictures with our friends - “add from my computer”, “add from Flickr”, or “add from clipboard”. It’s attractive enough to share photos from Flickr! Your photos could be chosen to share without sending a whole album.
Practical and Funny Plug-ins available
When you chat with friends by Yahoo Messenger 9.0, there is a tab on the windows called “Plug-ins” - click it and then you can customize the weather forecast of yours, or you can draw a picture in the board offered by it. There are also more selections for you to decide: Game, Mail box, Stock, Albums, etc. These plug-ins are basically key to users and you can find more by yourself.
Conclusion
Though MSN users are the main part of IM market, there are more and more users inclining to taste Yahoo Messenger as its friendly features. The new version of it could bring you a new feel to differentiate old versions, definitely!
